What is GC-MS matching?
GC-MS stands for Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry. It is an analytical process used to separate and identify many of the components within a fragrance.
Our manufacturer uses GC-MS analysis and reverse engineering to develop its Exact Match oils with the goal of reproducing the reference fragrance’s analysed scent profile with technical accuracy.
Every Scent Trial fragrance is an independently produced fragrance impression. It is not the original branded perfume and is not manufactured, endorsed by or affiliated with the referenced designer brand.
How does Scent Trial work?
Each month we curate two fragrances for your Discovery Duo box. You order when you're ready, we ship your box, and you get fifteen days with each scent — enough time to really know if it's yours. Love one? Order the full bottle. Not for you? No problem, next month brings something new.
Is there a subscription or debit order?
No. There are no debit orders and no recurring billing. You pay when you want your next box — no commitment, no surprises. We'll remind you when the next month's box is available.
How do I get the full bottle?
Every fragrance we offer as a trial is available as a full 30ml bottle in our catalogue. Once you've found your scent, simply order it from our store.
Why locker-to-locker delivery?
We deliver locker-to-locker via The Courier Guy — and that's a deliberate choice. Door-to-door delivery in SA comes with real risks: missed deliveries, wrong addresses, packages left unattended. Your box contains something you actually want. A locker keeps it safe until you're ready to collect — on your schedule, not the courier's.

What if I don't like either scent?
That's exactly what the trial is for — to find out before you commit to a full bottle. Not every scent will be yours, and that's fine. Next month's Discovery Duo will be different.
